From the small city of Grandview, Washington,
arose Keno, one of the most recent trends of the millennium. This
young, energetic band plays a breed of rock, punk, and pop rock on
par with bands such as New Found Glory, One Dollar Short, and Yellow
Card. Within an industry that is so confined by stereotypes, Keno
has managed to exceed all preconceptions by introducing an
innovative approach to a classic genre.
Keno consists of five talented musicians who have successfully
mastered both the art of performance and composition. Twenty-two
year old James Timmons is both the bands lead vocalist and leading
lyricist. Andy Smith only 20 years old plays the bass and 21 year
old Heath Ripplinger, is the drummer and backup vocalist. Twenty
year old Kris Bennett, and the youngest member of the group, 18 year
old Darren VanCorbach, both play guitar and are one dynamic duo!
Keno’s influences range from bands such as Rage against the Machine,
Pennywise, and Blink 182. From a lyrical perspective, James states,
“I am often inspired from life experiences, love, and captivating
moments.” Above all, Keno enjoys playing in front of live audiences
where they can share their talents with their fans. Having recently
signed with JetSpeed Records, Keno prepares to go on tour where they
have the opportunity to live out their dreams! |
