Andre Carngeie once said, “People rarely succeed
unless they have fun in what they are doing. “ That statement holds
very true to the success of a young punk/metal band, Last Minute
Victory.
The band consists of four fast, lively, authentic, talented, and
ambitious young men, who have been working together for over five
years. The band has seen all sorts of fans from girls, boys, woman
throwing condoms at them, and men in tin foil underwear. These men
draw a crowd from every end of the spectrum.
Having known one another since high school and birth (in Sergio and
Ralph’s case) the band has spent the past five years incorporating
each member of the band’s individual sound (Mark on drums, Ralph on
bass, Travis and Sergio on guitars). Each one of them has their own
influences as far as performance style and quality is concerned. The
vast array of influences extend from bands like Mest, Hi-Standard, 3
Doors Down, to bands like The Offspring, Fenix TX, Alkaline Trio,
and their favorite, Megadeath.
Each Member of Last Minute Victory has their own performance style
and technique. However, before performing a show they all come
together to clean up their music and make their performance as sharp
as it can be. Considering that all of their parents grew up jamming
out it is no wonder that Last Minute Victory understands that the
key ingredient to performance is being clean and sharp as a unit.
Last Minute Victory performed their first show together at their
high school for a talent show, where they won best band award.
During the show the lights went out and they just kept on playing
flawlessly in the dark. After that, they knew they had a great
connection and the talent required to pursue their dream together.
Now that the band has grown and recorded an album together they are
on the right track to being something great.
Last Minute Victory’s lyrics are one of the most intriguing things
about there album. Each song (written by Sergio and Travis) comes
from their own personal experiences and when they are performed, it
is obvious that they write and perform from the heart. Even their
title was influenced from a poem written by the infamous Shel
Silverstein.
This band has a dream to travel the world together sharing with
anyone who will listen, their art and their hard work. Last Minute
Victory knows what it will take to get where they want to be. Last
Minute Victory tells all aspiring artists that the key to success is
practice, practice, practice, and have some fun on the way. Aside
from their hard work and practicing, the men from Last Minute
Victory know how to have a good time. Whether it is playing pranks
on one another in public or the occasional drunken stupor, these
guys know the time and place for everything! |
