Influenced by some of music’s most innovative and eccentric artists such as, The White Stripes, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, RadioHead, Grandaddy, Beck, and Syd Barrett; it is no wonder that most who hears his musical ability and listen to his mature and catchy lyrics are nothing less than astonished. He has a sound unlike many of his contemporaries.

Syd James songs are heartfelt and honest, with an almost cynical or sarcastic delivery. The melodies he creates are the absolute and indescribable voice of the human heart—something that seems to have been left out of modern music for a long time now.

In the near future, Jetspeed Records plans to record Syd James’ first album. The Modesto native, Syd James, came to Hollywood in August of ’06 in search of musical inspiration. Since here, he has written enough material to span a complete album. This recent material combined with his previously written, should offer the listener a wide range of imaginative sonic endeavors.
